Queen of Clean Kim Woodburn has tragically died, and the TV star earned a reputation for being outspoken about other stars

Kim Woodburn’s death at the age of 83 has sparked widespread news in the entertainment world, with Lorraine and This Morning both paying tribute to the Channel 4 star. The Queen of Clean earned a reputation for being outspoken about other stars, notably Coleen Nolan from Loose Women, and also Holly Willoughby. Earlier this year, she reignited her long-standing criticism of the former This Morning host in an exclusive chat with Express Online, particularly in light of Dancing on Ice being cancelled. Kim famously clashed with Holly and Phillip Schofield when she appeared on This Morning and he questioned what she was saying about her experience on Celebrity Big Brother.

Kim claimed she was bullied by multiple housemates during her time in the house and admits she only stayed put to ensure she received her fee. The row continued until Holly shut down the exchange.

In her chat with Express Online and Casino.org, Kim claimed that Holly’s success on the ITV programmes was largely due to Schofield. She told us, “I’m going to say something to you, and I won’t change my mind. When a presenter gets a job, you always hope they will choose the right person for that job, and unfortunately, in my opinion, Holly Willoughby is useless.

“For 14 years, Holly was on This Morning with Phil, and you tell me, any time that you can recall that she ever said to Phil on that show, ‘I’m sorry, Phil, I don’t agree with you!’ Not once! She got a career on Phil. That is how she got her career and her money. She was then on that Dancing On Ice, and she’s useless! Once again, standing hands together in front of her, saying, ‘Oh yes’. She doesn’t do anything! I mean, I had my problems with Phil, but let’s face it, he was extremely entertaining. But she got a job with Phil and turned on him, and her career.”

Express Online had previously contacted Holly Willoughby’s representative for comment.

Kim, who became famous as a presenter on the Channel 4 series How Clean Is Your House?, passed away on Monday, June 16, after a short illness.

A representative for Kim said: “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things that Kim achieved in her life and career.

“We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. We will not be releasing any further details.”
