Karoline Leavitt brought high spirits and patriotic style to the South Lawn on Friday as The White House hosted its annual Fourth of July celebration.

Dressed in a vibrant red mini dress and standing beside communications professional Katie Miller, Leavitt appeared to be having a great time as she celebrated the annual holiday alongside her colleagues, as well as her husband Nicholas Riccio and their young son Niko.

In one photo shared by Miller on her Instagram Story, Leavitt, 27, could be seen grinning from ear-to-`ear as she flaunted her pins in her patriotic attire. Her sleeveless red dress featured a cinched-in waistline and a plunging neckline. She teamed the cute garment with a pair of white heels.

Elsewhere on her story, Leavitt gave fans a glimpse of a special moment between President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania as they stood on the White House balcony as the song God Bless The U.S.A. played out.

In the short clip, the two appeared close and affectionate as Trump, 79, leaned in toward his wife as they watched the fireworks together.

Leavitt also shared a sweet photo of her husband watching the fireworks display whilst holding their son – who will turn one next week – and simply captioned it, “Blessed.”

The celebrations come after Leavitt received somewhat of a backlash after she shared a behind-the-scenes post in the White House press briefing room.

The first photo in the post showed Leavitt’s back as she stood at the podium in a packed briefing room filled with reporters and cameramen. She is dressed in a white two-piece suit and nude high heels. The second photo showed her at the podium from the audience’s perspective.

The mother-of-one captioned the photos, “Behind the scenes in the briefing room,” but she faced backlash in the comments section, with online users criticizing the press secretary for the discussions that take place in the briefing room and even her choice of attire.

One user commented, “Someone should introduce you to a tailor. Another added: “You misspelled propaganda room,” while a third remarked, “AHAHAHA I bet you can’t even respond to their questions.” A fourth chimed in, “I can almost smell the bs just by looking at this.”

Others wrote, “Spreading more propaganda and lies…,” “That suit fits like you’re a kid in the big and tall section,” and “The Queen of Fake News Requests an Audience.”
