Karoline Leavitt was slammed on social media for ‘yelling’ and ‘whining’ as she was compared to Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for former President Joe Biden

Karoline Leavitt held another press briefing, and critics pointed out her yelling as well as compared her to former US President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.

The press secretary held a press conference on Monday, June 30, where she primarily spoke about President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” that is set to face a vote by the Senate before its impending July 4th deadline. Critics on social media made note of Karoline’s press briefings and brought up her yelling, which she has previously been criticized for.

One person on X formerly Twitter wrote, “@karolineleavitt is trying too hard! She doesn’t need to raise her voice/yell at the podium. Her props for show and tell do not help her cause.”

The user’s comment about her “props” could be referring to the part of the briefing where Karoline held up a memo Trump sent to Chair of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell on a paper that said “Word Central Bank Rates.” On the piece of paper, the convicted felon had written a message to Powell in black Sharpie.

“Jerome, you are, as usual, ‘too late;’ you have cost the USA a fortune and continue to so. You should lower the rate by a lot! Hundreds of Billions of dollars are being lost. No inflation,” Trump wrote and signed his name at the end.

Another critic said, referring to Karine Jean-Pierre, “Watching KJP and @PressSec is night and day. KJP may have been ‘incompetent’ and the ‘worst press sec’ ever, but #karolineleavitt takes the cake. She whines and whines and cries and cries. She’s SOOOOOO insufferable!!!!”

Karine was the 35th White House press secretary from 2022 to 2025 for Biden. She was the first Black person and the first openly LGBTQ person to serve in that position. Karine also served as a senior advisor to Biden from 2024 to 2025. She previously was deputy press secretary to her predecessor, Jen Psaki, from 2021 to 2022, and served as the chief of staff for then-vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris during the 2020 presidential campaign.

This is not the first time Karoline has been blasted for yelling. During an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, June 25, she lambasted CNN for calling out Trump for his unauthorized bombing of Iran and claimed that “no other president in history could have ever dreamed of such a success.”

After that interview, people took to social media. A person inquired, “Why is she yelling at me?” A second person wrote, “Karoline is wearing her big-ass cross, so she’s allowed to yell at the top of her lungs.”
