Daily Show host Jon Stewart has accused Karoline Leavitt of having no principles as he brutally mocked the White House press secretary, saying the cross she wears gets bigger each time she lies

Jon Stewart has laid into Karoline Leavitt, accusing her of brazenly lying continuously as he brutally mocked the White House press secretary in Monday’s episode of The Daily Show.

The comedian tracked Elon Musk’s White House crash, from his high of being dubbed Trump’s “First-buddy” to the low of his DOGE send-off last week, and also checked in on other struggling cabinet members, including FBI director Dan Bongino. But while some of Trump’s staffers may be cracking under the pressure of the president’s extreme demands, the Daily Show host predicted that Leavitt will be able to survive.

“The only one who’s going to come out of there unscathed is Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt,” he said. Stewart added: “Because I don’t think that she has any principles in there left to die!”

The segment included several clips of Leavitt, who is the youngest White House Press Secretary in US history, gushing over the president. “President Trump is truly the most transparent and accessible president in American history,” the 27-year-old says in one clip.

“I think everybody, the American public, believes it’s absurd for anyone to insinuate that this president is profiting off of the presidency,” she claims in another. “It’s frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that President Trump is doing anything for his own benefit,” Leavitt says in a third.

“That’s all he’s doing!” Stewart fumes. He joked there was a clear sign of Leavitt’s lies, adding: “By the way, I think that the more she lies, the bigger her cross gets. Is that possible? It’s like some sort of weird pinocchio cross.”

Stewart continued: “I’m not even upset with this lady because clearly rolling with the punches is the only strategy for happiness when you’re working for Trump.”

He finished the scathing rant laying into the president. “Trump’s very open secret has always been he doesn’t believe in or care about any police issue at all. He wants attention, he wants his ego stroked and he wants money,” he said.

He continued: “Remember his 90 deals in 90 days? He made them, but only for his family. Those are the only deals he made. Meanwhile, the world he said he was gonna fix is burning, like so many nuclear-capeable planes in Siberia.”

“And don’t bother trying to call him on it because before you can, he’s already moved on to pulling some new crazy thing out of his a– to distract us,” Stewart concluded before playing a clip from a news report about Trump sharing a bizarre conspiracy theory that Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and has been replaced by clones or robots since.
