Karoline Leavitt has been snapped with her favorite accessory back in action after she was seen without it following a backlash.

The White House press secretary was seen giving a briefing in the press room wearing a crisp white blazer with her trademark cross necklace back around her neck. Karoline, 27, added pearl earrings to her look and wore her trademark blonde hair loose in a sleek straight style.

Karoline spoke to the room from the podium, looking cool and confident in her business attire. The cross is rarely seen not on her neck but it was notably absent during another recent press briefing by the political figure.

Despite being labeled a “fake Christian” in the past, she consistently sports a conspicuous gold cross necklace adorned with diamonds. Yet, in a recent press briefing, this trademark item was absent.

The social media account Patriot Takes on Bluesky highlighted her unadorned neckline, sharing an image of Leavitt in a pale blue jacket sans necklace. Their post questioned, “Did Karoline Leavitt ditch her cross necklace? Maybe all that lying finally got to her.”

Karoline frequently finds herself at odds with reporters during briefings. While some critics accuse her of dishonesty, she counters by accusing the media of spreading falsehoods, which the White House intends to challenge.

Karoline has made it clear from her first day at the podium, stating, “I was very up-front in my briefing on Day One that, if we feel that there are lies being pushed by outlets in this room, we are going to hold those lies accountable.”

Democratic Rep. Dave Min has previously accused self-identified Christian Leavitt of being a “fake Christian.” This accusation came after her remarks on an executive order that temporarily halted federal grants and loans.

Despite a federal judge blocking the guidance on January 28, Karoline highlighted that policies targeting funding for progressive causes, including LGBTQ+ organizations, were still in effect.

In a sharp retort, Min called into question Karoline’s faith, labeling her display of a cross as “hypocritical.”

On X, Min took to social media to express his criticism, writing: “‘Thou shalt not bear false witness…’ @PressSec Karoline Leavitt is a Fake Christian, like so many in this Golden Calf administration.”

Karoline regularly faces scrutiny from her critics for everything from her outfit and makeup choices to her marriage to husband Nicolas Riccio, who is 32 years older than her. The couple got hitched just before Donald Trump’s second swearing-in, with the young White House secretary appearing over the moon next to her 59-year-old beau in wedding snaps she shared on Instagram.

The couple shares their 11-month-old son Nicholas Robert Riccio, born on July 10, 2024.
