Karoline Leavitt, the Press Secretary, proudly flaunted her cross necklace for her latest White House briefing, following a sharp-witted jab from Daily Show legend Jon Stewart.

On Tuesday, June 3, Karoline was spotted without her customary cross necklace during her press briefing, where she sported a navy blue blazer with stylish gold buttons, a matching skirt, and sleek black heels. This fashion choice came after Stewart’s bold joke on his show, where the 62 year old comedian commented, “By the way, I think that the more she [Karoline] lies, the bigger her cross gets. Is that possible? It’s like some sort of weird Pinocchio cross.”

On Wednesday, the 27-year-old chose to showcase the religious jewelry proudly in spite of Stewart’s joke and the comments questioning her faith.

Jon Stewart also touched upon Karoline’s role within Trump’s administration, saying, “The only one who’s going to come out of there unscathed is Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Because I don’t think that she has any principals in there left to die!”

However, Stewart softened his stance on Karoline, suggesting it’s unfair to shoot the messenger, stating, “I’m not even upset with this lady. Because just rolling with the punches is clearly the only strategy for happiness when you’re working for Trump,” as reported by Mirror US.

Stewart didn’t hold back on his assessment of President Donald Trump either, adding, “Trump’s very open secret has always been: He doesn’t believe in or care about any policy issue at all. He wants attention, he wants his ego stroked, and he wants money. He wants f—wads and f—wads of money.”, reports the Irish Star.

However, it’s not just Stewart noticing Karoline’s prominent cross necklaces during her latest appearances. A Reddit user advised, “Dear Ms. Leavitt, since your party clearly doesn’t espouse the teachings of Jesus, it would probably be best to not wear that cross around your neck during briefings. You’d look less hypocritical.”

Another weighed in, saying, “She’s wearing a fashion statement, it’s not a symbol of her beliefs.”

Someone else asserted with passion, “The Trump administration is as far from the teachings of Jesus as you can get. She and all the other fake Christians in the Republican party are a bunch of f—-g hypocrites.”

Yet another commenter simply put it, “It’s all about the image.”

Doubts have been cast on Karoline’s faith by some, but the 27 year old has been outspoken about the importance of her religion in her life.

In an interview with CBN News, she professed, “My faith is incredibly important to me, I would argue, now more than ever, being in a role that is very demanding and at times controversial, and there’s a lot of public pressure and discussion online about who you are and your family.
