Pete Hegseth has shared some rare family snaps on social media, with fans describing him as “a true patriot.”

The Secretary of Defense took to Instagram to post photos of him, his wife Jennifer Rauchet and their children in coordinated outfit while celebrating the Fourth of July. In one of the images, the family – dressed in the colors of the American flag – can be seen smiling in the ground of the White House

Hegseth, 45, also shared a close-up photo of his daughters wearing accessories with the colors of the flag. Another snap shows the family sitting by a river while watching the fireworks.

He captioned the post, “Only for you America, can we get our family to coordinate outfits. Happy Independence Day to this great nation and all who make it GREAT!”

A fan commented, “We the people love the Hegseths!” Another said, “BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!” A third wrote, “Incredible 165 days !! Happy Fourth of July !! God bless the USA !!”

Someone else commented, “You all look beautiful. Thanks for your service Pete. You are a true patriot. Your family is beautiful. God bless you all.” One more said, “Love you, Pete. You have a troop right there. You guys been busy.”

Hegseth is currently married to Rauchet, though he has been married twice beforehand to Meredith Schwarz for five years and Samantha Deering for seven years. He has four biological children and is stepfather to Rauchet’s three children from a previous marriage.

It comes after MAGA supporters flung insults toward Fox News Friday night after the right-wing news program reportedly “ruined” the Fourth of July firework show in Washington, D.C., by keeping the camera on President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania. The first couple stepped onto the balcony overlooking the White House lawn to gaze at the luminous spectacle and even shared a rare moment of affection.

While supporters there in person cheered, those at home seemed to grimace. “CR—— THE BED with fireworks coverage. Love Trump, but we don’t need to be watching him and his beautiful wife watch the fireworks,” one wrote.

“Really stupid @FoxNews to have a split screen of the fireworks and Trump and Melania I really don’t think we need to be watching them watch the fireworks, total ignorant programming,” another added.

On the other side of the aisle, CNN also caught some flack for reportedly doing the same thing. “Dear #CNN. Stop ruining your fireworks broadcast by cutting to that a—— Trump.”
