White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt ditched her iconic cross necklace again, possibly in reaction to Jon Stewart’s stinging commentary.

On Monday, July 7, Karoline held a White House press briefing where she touched on varied issues such as the Jeffrey Epstein “client list,” the catastrophic Texas floods, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Monday visit. As viewers tuned in, some observant viewers noted the absence of Karoline’s usual cross pendant.

The 27-year-old spokeswoman kept it understated at the briefing, rocking a sleek black blazer over a crisp white shirt, with only sparkling diamond earrings for bling, her cross conspicuously absent. This style shift comes after a savage joke Stewart delivered on The Daily Show last month.

At the time, he mocked, “By the way, I think that the more she [Karoline] lies, the bigger her cross gets. Is that possible? It’s like some sort of weird Pinocchio cross.”

Commenting on Karoline’s stance within the Trump adminstration, Stewart had quipped, “The only one who’s going to come out of there unscathed is Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Because I don’t think that she has any principals in there left to die.”

The comedian showed some leniency towards Karoline, acknowledging the challenges of working within Trump’s contentious team. He remarked, “I’m not even upset with this lady. Because just rolling with the punches is clearly the only strategy for happiness when you’re working for Trump.”

Reflecting on the current commander-in-chief, Stewart shared his blunt assessment, “Trump’s very open secret has always been: He doesn’t believe in or care about any policy issue at all. He wants attention, he wants his ego stroked, and he wants money. He wants f—wads and f—wads of money.”

Following Karoline’s recent press briefing, a wave of anger flooded X, formerly Twitter, particularly over Karoline’s evasion of questions regarding the Epstein list.

In response to the live broadcast, a critic commented, “When Leavitt opens her mouth you just know you’re about to hear the dumbest things imaginable.”

Another exasperated individual chimed in, “The Trump administration is proving to be just as corrupt as the last one.” Echoing the sentiment, another person lamented, “This administration just hid like all others. Sad day for Americans. We can no longer trust our government.”
