Fox News’ chief political anchor Bret Baier is no stranger to the spotlight, especially following his pre-Super Bowl interview with Donald Trump back in February.

The sit-down, taped at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, aired at 3 p.m. ET on Super Bowl Sunday and marked a return to tradition.

Beyond the cameras, Baier’s life off-screen has been shaped by extraordinary moments, including a harrowing car crash, his son’s ongoing health battles, and his long-standing relationship with his wife, Amy Baier.

The pair first met in September 2001, set up by mutual friends who had a hunch they might get along.

Amy recalled to Country Magazine: “I’m not sure why they thought it would work, but they had a good feeling it would. They did warn me, though, to buckle up – that a life with Bret Baier would be an interesting ride.”

She added: “Bret was such a gentleman. He’s from Atlanta and has that southern charm. We’ve been together ever since.”

Three years later, in October 2004, Bret and Amy tied the knot in her hometown of Chicago.

“I’ve always wanted to live in Chicago, but Bret says he would only move there if they move the nation’s capital,” she joked to Country Magazine. “I’m a total daddy’s girl with three brothers so he definitely ran the gauntlet during our courtship.”
