Greg Gutfeld took aim at Whoopi Goldberg following a controversial segment on The View, which drew quite the response from people who felt strongly about her comments on Iran.

The controversial Fox News host reacted strongly to the comments during an appearance on The Five.

“I believe on The View they have a rule that one panelist has to say something so crazy every day that everybody else looks sane,” Gutfeld said, calling out Goldberg’s remarks. The segment he was referring to aired during Wednesday’s episode of the talk show, where the Sister Act engaged in a heated exchange with co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin.

The panel was discussing international human rights. Goldberg made a strong claim by comparing issues in the U.S. to how people are treated under Iran’s strict government.

“We have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car,” Goldberg said during the broadcast. “Listen, I’m sorry. They used to just keep hanging Black people.”

She continued, “It is the same,” suggesting that the lived experience of marginalized groups in the U.S. could be seen as comparable to life under Iran’s authoritarian regime, which is led by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Griffin immediately pushed back on Goldberg’s comparison. “It is not even the same. I couldn’t step foot wearing this outfit in Tehran right now,” she responded.

Despite the pushback, Goldberg stood by her comments, saying. “Not if you’re Black.”

Gutfeld was quick to double down on his criticism of Whoopi as he added, “She’s operating on non-conscious thinking. It comes just after he also claimed President Joe Biden had “shit for brains” this week after Whoopi admitted she didn’t care if Biden “pooped his pants.”

“The liberal media is sounding more unhinged as they try to shield Joe Biden from the fallout of his growing debate disaster,” said Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro on The Five, Monday, before playing a clip of Goldberg.

She said, “I don’t care if he’s pooped his pants. I don’t care if he can’t put a sentence together… I’d rather all his teeth fell out and he pooped his pants and had to roll across the street than choose a man who I know is out to destroy the country.

Meanwhile Gutfeld said, “Well, you know what? We’re not worried about what’s in his pants. It’s up here. He’s got shit for brains. But the thing is with Whoopi is that that is an example of pure selfishness. She’s saying that because of her emotional disturbance over Trump is so deep, that she is willing to let that take control over logic and reason. She would put the country at risk with a man who is not there because she doesn’t like that guy.”
