Fox News’ Jesse Watters was shocked as a guest questioned the network’s lack of Jeffrey Epstein coverage

Fox News' Jesse Watters Admits He Erred in Saying Newsom Lied About Trump Phone Call, but Governor Isn't Dropping Lawsuit: 'See You in Court, Buddy'

Host Jesse Watters was shocked as a guest questioned Fox News’ lack of Jeffrey Epstein coverage.

On Thursday, longtime Democratic strategist James Carville called the news channel out while appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime.

Epstein, who died in a jail cell in 2019, is in the news after President Donald Trump and his administration did a 180 on releasing the government’s files related to the sex trafficker. It comes after Fox News fans declared it’s the ‘end of MAGA’ as Trump lost it during a press conference.

Watters began the interview by jokingly asking Carville about Hunter Biden becoming president after former President Joe Biden’s son slammed Carville in an interview this week.

“What do you think about President Hunter Biden?” Watters asked Carville. “Look, everybody in the world is talking about Epstein, and Fox is still talking about Biden’s memory,” Carville said of the stories the network has run about former President Joe Biden recently.

“That’s how long ago, I can’t even remember, to tell you the truth, Jesse.”

“Well, do you wanna talk about Epstein?” the host asked. “I don’t mind talking about it,” Carville replied.

The two left Epstein for the time being before returning to the matter later in the interview, when Watters asked Carville if Democrats should want the Epstein files released, given that Epstein was an associate of Carville’s former employer, former President Bill Clinton, in addition to Trump.

“I don’t really know,” Carville said. “I don’t know what’s behind it.”

Later in the interview, Carville praised Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch after being sued by Trump over a story in The Wall Street Journal last week.

Last week, The Wall Street Journal exposed the alleged existence of a birthday letter from Trump to Epstein that included a drawing of a nude woman and an odd imaginary dialogue between the two men.

Shortly after the story dropped, Fox News host Laura Ingraham teased the report ahead of a commercial, but she did not mention it for the rest of her show.

Earlier this month, the Department of Justice said that Epstein did not have a client list, something that was directly contradicted a claim by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who in February said the list was in her possession.

Trump has largely avoided questions about Epstein in recent weeks.

The president, who has always denied any wrongdoing relating to the Epstein case, has not been accused of any crimes by law enforcement and has never been identified as the subject of any investigation.

Fox News and other right-wing media outlets have limited coverage of the Epstein files, which have still been covered on Fox News, though mainly during the network’s non-primetime hours.

Media Matters reported that Fox News has mentioned Epstein far less than other cable news networks this week, and has given more airtime to MAGA claimed against former President Barack Obama and the 2016 election.
