The once-unshakable Karoline Leavitt was seen wiping away tears after a White House press briefing this week, as the pressure from online MAGA loyalists continues to intensify. Once adored by the movement, the press secretary is now facing cruel attacks and mockery from the very base she helped mobilize — and insiders say the emotional toll is beginning to crack her public armor.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is no stranger to being made fun of and ridiculed throughout various forms of media. However, according to on senior analyst, the Trump attack dog is reportedly starting to show some strain.

Speaking with RawStory, Salon Senior Writer Amanda Marcotte described Leavitt’s role within the Trump, who has been given a terrifying nickname by Iran, administration as “to keep the mostly male MAGA base invigorated by demonstrating the White House’s powers at annoying the women they resent.” However, the 27-year-old mom of one is starting to lose her edge.

“Leavitt’s not just a more clever troll than her boss, but she has more courage,” Marcotte said, adding that she has noticed Leavitt “gaslighting” several reporters during her weekly press briefings. However, several internet trolls, even those from the MAGA fanbase, are starting to put Leavitt on edge. It comes after Trump was humiliated by reporters after his alarming warning over Iran.

“I don’t want to dissuade anyone from making fun of Leavitt. First, it’s fun, which needs no justification,” she wrote. “More importantly, the mockery is working, especially as a long-term strategy.”

“Yes, Trump voters get the sugar high of knowing they’ve angered some feminists,” Marcotte added. “But in reading the comments sections of various social media posts where people were fighting about Leavitt, it became clear that conservative women find her embarrassing.”

Marcotte added that the people who have defended Leavitt have “weak and mealy-mouthed, mostly lame assertions that she’s a good Christian, which is hard to square with all the lying.” She added, “These debates, especially if witnessed by younger women who haven’t fully made up their minds about their political identities, help to instill a sense that being a handmaiden of patriarchy is cringeworthy.”

“No one wants to be like Karoline Leavitt, old before her time, and spending all her time around cranky, Fox News-addled senior citizens,” Marcotte asserted. “She may make a certain kind of man happy, but to women, the ultimate message is clear: Being MAGA robs you of your youth, beauty and talent, and replaces them with a lifetime of service to the worst men.”

The comments come as the press secretary received a ton of backlash after posting a photo of herself and Trump whispering together in the White House. In the photo, Leavitt wears a pink suit with the caption “us.”

Many people rushed to comment on the post to slam the pair. “Discussing how you’re going to lie about his new illegal war with Iran to defend a foreign country,” one person mockingly said.

“Discussing how many lies you are going to tell at the next press briefing,” sneered a second person. A third wrote, “Do you hear the lies that are coming out of your mouth. You will be held accountable for it all.”

Others criticized the Trump administration over how it is running the country. One said, “Disgraceful that you blame everything on the Biden administration. Your whataboutism is all you ever spout.”
