Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has sensationally claimed that he was “physically mauled” by a “demon” that he says “attacked” him while he was sleeping in his bed with his wife and four dogs, leaving him with “claw marks” that still remain a year and a half later.
The former Fox News host, who has been living in his remote cabin in Maine for much of the past year, aired the shocking tale while appearing in a new teaser clip for a documentary called “Christianities,” alleging that he had a “direct experience” with “evil” inside his own home.
“I got attacked while I was asleep with my wife and four dogs in the bed and physically mauled in a spiritual attack by a demon or something unseen,” he tells host John Meers. “It left claw marks on my sides.”
Carlson, who claims the claw marks are still visible—although he did not show them in the clip—says he was even more baffled by the incident because it had not woken up his wife or his dogs, even though they are all usually “light sleepers.”
“I woke up, and I couldn’t breathe,” he recalled. “I thought I was going to suffocate. I walked around outside, and then I walked in and my wife and dogs had not woken up and they’re very light sleepers.”

“I had these terrible pains on my rib cage and on my shoulder, and I was just in my boxer shorts so I went and flipped on the light in the bathroom, and I saw I had four claw marks on either side underneath my arms, and on my left shoulder. They were bleeding.”
Carlson says he did consider the possibility that he had scratched himself in his sleep, but quickly concluded that would not have been likely, explaining: “I sleep on my side so I wasn’t clawing myself. I don’t have long nails, and [the marks] didn’t fit my hands anyway.”
He goes on to state that he initially thought the experience had been “the weirdest dream he’d ever had,” before he looked down at his bed and saw blood on his sheets.
Bewildered by what he believes he experienced, Carlson said he turned to advice from his assistant, who is the “only evangelical Christian he knows,” and who promptly told him: “Oh yeah, that happens, people are attacked in their bed by demons.”
The divisive host, who now hosts his own series on X, did not state where the so-called attack took place; however, he has been spending much of his time over the past few years at his remote cabin in Maine, where he set up a studio from which to record his show.
In the clip from “Christianities,” Carlson is seen strolling around what appears to be that same cabin with Meers, exploring the stunning natural scenery around him and taking his dogs on a walk. He also offers a glimpse inside the humble property, before shooting guns off the balcony.

Carlson’s home in Maine, when not being haunted by the supernatural, offers a very rustic escape from the hustle and bustle of DC, where he was based during his time on Fox News before he was fired by the network in 2023.
The on-air host initially purchased the Woodstock, ME, cabin in 2020—having spent decades summering in the nearby town of Bryant Pond in Oxford County.
While he was still with Fox, reports emerged that Carlson had planned to convert a nearby garage that he purchased for $30,000 into a professional TV studio so that he could continue to film his show without having to return to Washington, DC.
